Job description
About the role
Support the design and development of industrial machinery and thermal processing equipment.
Tasks
- Develop 3D models, complex assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Create fabrication drawings for sheet metal, weldments, and mechanical components.
- Manage BOMs, engineering revisions, and design documentation.
- Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) principles to improve reliability and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with fabricators, vendors, and engineering teams to support production and assembly.
Requirements
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal, weldments, GD&T, and fabrication drawings.
- Experience with industrial machinery, heavy equipment, or thermal systems.
- Familiarity with BOM management and PDM or other revision control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
