Job description

About the role

Swarm Aero is developing aircraft designed for swarming and Command & Control software to mobilize heterogeneous autonomous assets. The Aircraft Engineering team is growing across the disciplines needed to design, build, test, and fly an aircraft.

This role is an entry point to openings across aircraft engineering. Engineering leadership reviews applications on a rolling basis and moves quickly when there is a fit. Engineers own work end to end, from CAD and suppliers to fixtures and the aircraft, and take part in setting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design primary and secondary composite and metallic structures.
  • Perform stress and structural analysis.
  • Work on mechanisms and actuation, including control surfaces, landing gear, doors, and payload systems.
  • Work on thermal management and environmental control, propulsion integration, and fluid systems such as fuel, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Work on materials and processes and support structural, ground, and flight testing.

Requirements

  • Tell Swarm Aero what you are good at and which aircraft engineering areas fit your background.
  • Experience across two of the listed areas is an advantage.
