About the role
Shimizu-Fujita-Takenaka EEI Joint Venture is seeking an MEP Site Engineer Mechanical to coordinate mechanical works and support inspections, reporting, and site safety.
Responsibilities
- Review ACVM, plumbing, and fire protection shop drawings and method statements.
- Prepare monthly and weekly schedules for MEP work, along with weekly and monthly actual site progress reports and documentation.
- Lead and arrange toolbox meetings with MEP subcontractors.
- Coordinate mechanical installation with CSA contractors and electrical subcontractors.
- Conduct internal site inspections with subcontractors and STE-JV QAQC to check that mechanical installations comply with project specifications, mechanical works standards, and regulations.
- Arrange and coordinate official site inspections with STE-JV QAQC and the Engineer (GC) to obtain approval and acceptance of mechanical installations and testing.
- Coordinate with the MEP Construction Manager and provide solutions for mechanical installation issues on site.
- Ensure MEP activities comply with site safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform duties assigned from time to time by the direct supervisor.
Requirements
- Graduate in a Mechanical Engineering course.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an MEP/Site Engineer in a building or infrastructure project.
- Previous railway project experience is an advantage; previous experience in a Japanese company is also an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ACMV, fire protection, and plumbing systems and equipment.
- Effective communication with subcontractors, architects, and clients.
- Ability to analyze construction schedules, material, and manpower resources.
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel; Microsoft Project is an advantage.
