Key Responsibilities Confirm patient identity and exam details prior to scanning, ensuring strict adherence to patient safety protocols to minimize errors. Coordinate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging that supports clinical decision-making. Prepare patients by explaining MRI procedures clearly, enhancing patient comfort and cooperation during scans. Insert intravenous lines when necessary, demonstrating proficiency in IV placement and patient care. Position patients safely, including assisting those with limited mobility, to optimize image quality and patient safety. Maintain precise documentation in EPIC electronic health records and ensure timely transmission of imaging studies to PACS. Ensure the scanning environment is clean, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards to promote a professional workplace. What We're Looking For Required: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT certification. New York State licensure, which must be obtained prior to starting the role. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist, including Level I trauma exposure. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Experience working in high-volume hospital or trauma center settings. Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
