Network Security Analyst 3

About the role

Support security operations, with a strong focus on administering and maintaining the Tenable vulnerability scanning solution.

Tasks

• Configure, administer, and maintain Tenable vulnerability scanning
• Ensure comprehensive vulnerability scanning coverage across agency devices
• Execute credentialed, uncredentialed, and targeted vulnerability scans
• Identify vulnerable software, security misconfigurations, and rogue devices
• Report rogue devices at least monthly
• Analyze scan results and recommend remediation actions
• Coordinate with IT Operations and service providers to improve patching processes
• Route vulnerability findings to the appropriate remediation teams
• Collaborate with teams responsible for configuration baselines

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in each of the following areas: Deploying and configuring security monitoring and incident response tools, including EDR, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, and NetFlow
• At least 8 years of experience in each of the following areas: Administering security monitoring and incident response tools
• At least 8 years of experience in each of the following areas: Participating in intrusion detection and incident response activities
• At least 8 years of experience in each of the following areas: Professional business communication, documentation, and reporting
• Strong hands-on experience with Tenable vulnerability management
• Enterprise vulnerability scanning and assessment expertise
• Security misconfiguration identification and remediation coordination
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, and network security monitoring tools
• Familiarity with patch management and configuration baselines
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate directly with technical operations teams
