Job description
A confidential plaintiff-side litigation practice in the Miami area is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to take meaningful ownership of employment and related civil litigation matters. This is a hands-on role for a lawyer who enjoys client-facing advocacy, strong writing, and independently driving cases forward with partner-level mentorship available.

THE ROLE
Independently manage litigation files from early case assessment through resolution.Handle depositions, hearings, and motion practice.Draft pleadings, discovery, and substantive legal memoranda and briefs.Conduct legal research and develop case strategy aligned with client goals and case outcomes.Communicate directly with clients in sensitive employment matters with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment.
LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
Location:Miami area, Florida.
Schedule:In office 4 days/week.
Compensation:$160,000 base salary.
REQUIREMENTS
Active Florida Bar admission (in good standing).Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.5 to 10 years of civil and employment litigation experience (plaintiff-side experience preferred).Ability to independently handle case files, including depositions, hearings, legal research, and writing.Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills.Strong interpersonal skills and maturity to build trust with clients in sensitive employment law matters.Competitive drive, independent thinking, and business acumen when prioritizing case outcomes.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
Judicial clerkship experience.Familiarity with generative AI tools to support efficient legal drafting and research.Creative problem-solving and comfort developing non-traditional approaches where appropriate.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
1600 billable hours target.Generous bonus structure.Fully subsidized health insurance (after a 30 to 45 day waiting period).2 weeks PTO plus sick days (accrual-based).Cost-of-living salary adjustments.
