Job description
About the role
As the OluKai Retail Lead, or Huaka’i, which means to lead, your kuleana (responsibility) is to welcome customers and deliver a remarkable brand experience. This new store is set to open in October 2026. The Sales Lead will help launch and establish the store from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, engage with new customers, and build immediate and lasting rapport.
- Consistently meet goals and plans set by the company or management.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, corporate directives, visual standards, and store cleanliness.
- Open and close the store to standard and be responsible for store keys and security measures.
- Act as Manager on Duty when needed and provide basic coaching to Retail Associates.
- Share stories about brand partnerships, product design inspirations, and reasons for being.
- Stay current on fashion trends, understand customer needs, and communicate product selections that meet those needs.
- Resolve customer issues independently while maintaining a spirit of Aloha, including in high-stress situations.
- Help with back-of-house duties, including receiving, processing product, and restocking.
- Use POS best practices for a seamless consumer experience.
- Represent OluKai and participate in local events and giveback programs.
