Job description
Aspire NXT Technology Services is hiring a full-time Operations Engineer in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this hands-on IT operations and service desk role, you’ll troubleshoot technical issues, support end users, and help improve day-to-day operational efficiency. This position is on-site and suited to candidates with 0–2 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT operations support and respond to end-user help desk requests.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues through tickets, remote troubleshooting, and clear questions.
- Guide users through step-by-step solutions, application installations, and setup of computer peripherals.
- Use appropriate troubleshooting methods to identify root causes and resolve issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate level of support.
- Follow up with users to confirm that reported issues have been resolved.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in desktop support, technical support, IT service desk, or a similar role.
- IT service desk, help desk, technical support, or voice support experience and excellent communication skills are mandatory.
- Hands-on familiarity with Windows, Linux, and/or macOS environments.
- Working knowledge of office automation software and peripherals such as printers and scanners.
- Knowledge of network security practices and antivirus software.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Undergraduate degree; any graduate and specialization accepted.
