About the role
Blue Signal Search is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a growing commercial fire and life safety organization. The role offers broad ownership of day-to-day execution, with a direct influence on customer service, field productivity, and the continued growth of the operation.
The Operations Manager works closely with field teams and leadership to bring structure and accountability to a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Keep field activity aligned by adjusting technician assignments as service demands change and addressing urgent calls and competing priorities.
- Coordinate material availability with suppliers and resolve shortages or delivery issues so crews can arrive prepared for scheduled work.
- Guide customers through timing, progress updates, outstanding needs, and next steps with responsive, professional communication.
- Review field documentation before work is closed, identifying missing details, unresolved deficiencies, and follow-up actions.
- Build estimates for service work and smaller installations, partnering with leadership on technical scope and commercial decisions when appropriate.
- Move permit packages through local review processes, respond to corrections, and coordinate required inspections with applicable authorities.
- Maintain visibility into unfinished work, deadlines, and administrative obligations.
