Oracle DBA (Database Administrator)

Tasks

• Perform Oracle database patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Manage RAC clusters, ASM storage, and GoldenGate environments.
• Troubleshoot database, operating system, and replication issues.
• Optimize database performance and resolve bottlenecks.
• Support rolling upgrades in Oracle environments, where applicable.
• Collaborate with application and support teams across multiple projects.
• Maintain database stability, availability, and operational reliability.

Requirements

• Experienced Oracle DBA with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle 18c/19c, RAC, ASM, GoldenGate, database upgrades, and large-scale database migrations.
• Oracle Database: Hands-on experience with Oracle 18c and 19c.
• Database Patching & Upgrades: Apply PSU patches and upgrade databases to Oracle 19c.
• Oracle RAC & ASM: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-node RAC environments and ASM instances.
• Oracle GoldenGate: Implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Database Migration: Upgrade and migrate large databases across data centers.
• Performance Tuning: Identify database performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
• Operating Systems: IBM AIX, Linux, and Sun Solaris UNIX.
• Backup Solutions: Configure and support third-party backup solutions such as TSM.
• Oracle Architecture: Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture.
• Preferred experience: Oracle rolling upgrades.
• Preferred experience: Large-scale, multi-data-center database migration projects.
• Preferred experience: Complex Oracle RAC and ASM administration.
