Orthopedic Technologist Contract Job in Rancho Mirage, CA

OrbiCubes Inc is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Technologist for a contract position in Rancho Mirage, CA. Join our healthcare team and play a vital role in assisting orthopedic physicians and physician assistants with patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist orthopedic physicians/PAs with casting, splinting, and care of casts, splints, and external fixators.
• Support patient intake, rooming, charting, and documentation processes.
• Ensure compliance with Code of Conduct and clinic policies; report any suspected violations.
• Prepare treatment areas and exam rooms, maintaining orderly and stocked environments.
• Anticipate physician needs during procedures and procure necessary supplies.
• Apply orthopedic devices such as casts, splints, and braces to patients of all ages.
• Perform suture and staple removal, dressing changes, and schedule tests as needed.
• Manage patient flow efficiently and handle phone communications promptly.
• Collect and prepare documentation for surgeries, orders, consents, and durable medical equipment (DME) applications.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in orthopedic clinical settings preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic devices and patient care procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work within scope of practice and follow clinic policies.
• Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
