Outreach Phlebotomist

JOB SUMMARY:
Main responsibilities to perform phlebotomy at outreach centers or to collect the lab samples from outreach contractual partners (other hospitals, other labs, clinics, etc.) with the patient and specimen service in. The request of outreach clients. And can be assigned to provide patient home sampling service. In addition, outreach phlebotomist is responsible for the data entry of order bookings, cash receiving, sample labelling and sample disposal to the relevant department of the lab for processing any other task related to the outreach service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Outreach Phlebotomist is assigned to collect the samples from outreach contractual partners, responsible to follow the daily schedules of visits and on-call assignments, receive payment (if needed) sample handling, labelling and process of sample disposal as per the daily checklist.
• Outreach phlebotomist is responsible to do the proper phlebotomy/ draw the blood samples of the patients at the outreach centers.
• Outreach Phlebotomist will also provide phlebotomy services to contractual clients if required, along with the transportation of pre-collected samples after proper checkup by required staff.
• Outreach Phlebotomist will be responsible to get finalize the report from concerned department and forward to patients as per the requirement along with hard copy. Any query raised by the department related to the samples will also be resolved by him.
• He will be solely responsible to the patient’s receipt and the working report as per the patient’s complaint and report generated by him during the patient’s visit.
• Outreach Phlebotomist will work at multiple assignment, but one at a time (i.e Home Collection of Samples, at Outreach center or Collection or Phlebotomy at Contractual clients). during his hours of duty.
• He will be responsible to match all the prescribed/referrals test with their documents along with their history required for the patient labelling and handling and be familiar with the SOP of Lab sample handling.
• Any other task assigned by the superior management.

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:
• Phlebotomy and Motor Bike License (Lisence Holder)
• Good communication skills.
• Decision making
• Good computer knowledge.
• Reading and writing skills.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Education Qualifications: Intermediate / Preferably Graduate
• Additional Requirements: Diploma of Phlebotomy/Lab Technician/Lab Technologist with Valid Motor Bike Licence
• Work experience: 1 Year experience in Phlebotomy/ atleast for blood samples (Experience with major lab is advantageous).
