Key Responsibilities Safely navigate and operate a commercial motor vehicle across long distances, adhering to all traffic regulations. Plan and execute routes efficiently, optimizing travel time and fuel usage while ensuring compliance with delivery schedules. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs, report issues, and ensure the safety of operations. Handle freight responsibly, loading and unloading cargo as required while maintaining the integrity of shipments. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to provide updates and resolve potential issues. Maintain accurate records of miles driven, hours worked, and other relevant data to ensure compliance with regulations. Exhibit outstanding customer service skills, fostering strong relationships with clients and representing the company professionally on the road. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. 2+ years of driving experience preferred, particularly in OTR conditions. Skills in time-management, problem-solving, safety compliance, and vehicle inspection. Proficiency in route planning and adaptability to changing conditions.
