Overnight Caregiver PSW

About the role

Sweethomecareliving is seeking an Overnight Caregiver PSW to provide compassionate, respectful care to residents throughout the night while maintaining their dignity and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night.
• Assist residents with late-night and overnight toileting needs, diaper changes, personal hygiene, and trips to and from the bathroom.
• Respond appropriately to residents’ needs during overnight hours.
• Assist residents with getting dressed and prepared for the morning.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Document and report concerns, incidents, or changes in residents’ condition.

Requirements

• PSW certification or relevant caregiving experience is preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Dependability and comfort working overnight shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate, and attentive approach to residents’ needs.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly during overnight hours.
• A Vulnerable Sector Check and other required documentation may be requested.
