Role Description This full-time, on-site Packaging Designer role is based in Bogota, D.C. The Packaging Designer will create visually compelling and functional packaging concepts, from initial sketches to final production-ready files, aligned with brand guidelines and product requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with marketing and product teams, developing design mockups, selecting materials and finishes, and ensuring packaging meets aesthetic, regulatory, and cost objectives. The role involves refining typography and graphic elements, preparing files for print, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining consistency across product lines. The Packaging Designer will also participate in feedback sessions, iterate on designs based on stakeholder input, and stay current on industry trends and sustainable packaging practices.
QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Packaging Design and Product Design to create effective and user-focused packaging solutions.Candidates should possess skills in Branding and Graphic Design to ensure cohesive visual identity across all packaging materials.Candidates should possess proficiency in Typography to enhance readability, hierarchy, and brand expression on packaging.Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, 3D visualization software) is beneficial.Experience working with printing processes, materials, and production specifications is preferred.Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.Relevant education in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.Working knowledge of English and Spanish, and familiarity with consumer goods or retail packaging, are a plus.
