Job description
CABPES is hiring a Part-Time Middle School Math Teacher for a five-week summer boot camp in Aurora, Colorado. This role is a great opportunity to help middle school students build math skills and confidence in an engaging learning environment.
Schedule and Pay
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- Teaching hours: 9:00 a.m.–noon
- Program length: Five weeks, starting June 15, 2026
- Location: Central Aurora, CO; this is an on-site position
- Pay: $30 per hour
- Up to one hour of paid planning time per day is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Lead interactive classroom activities that support student participation and learning.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback and support.
- Foster a positive, respectful classroom where students can grow in confidence.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials for varied learning needs and abilities.
Qualifications
- Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred, particularly with middle school students.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics and effective teaching methods.
- Familiarity with educational technology and learning tools.
- A degree in Education is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- A public school teaching credential is not required.
