Parts Specialist

Our operation at Boat Town is continually growing, and therefore so is our team! We are searching for an experienced individual to help us fill out our service department- specifically service advisor, keeping track of inventory, and ordering/tracking parts.

We are searching for someone with a high work-ethic and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be motivated to accomplish tasks diligently and effectively, and needs to be a true team player. This individual should also have strong communication and customer service skills as they will be working directly with customers frequently. Previous experience with retail/inventory management strongly preferred. Having basic mechanical knowledge to be able to effectively communicate with service & warranty managers is also highly desired. Hours for Boat Town are Tuesday-Saturday at our dealership in Austin and the candidate will need to be on location during those times.

Compensation flexible based on experience.

Responsibilities include:

Working with service and sales team to ensure proper parts are ordered in a timely manner

Communicating effectively with team when parts arrive

Keeping track of inventory systems and ensuring things are accounted for properly

Overall operational assistance for service department

Customer service- helping with check outs, assisting with phone answering, etc

Requirements for this candidate:

Experience with working in retail or a similar position preferred

Basic mechanic and parts knowledge within automotive or marine industry preferred

Have a high energy level, good work ethic and be able to multitask well

Be responsible, organized, and have good communication skills

Ability to work well with a team

Be able to be at Austin location during open hours

Customer service experience

Preferred qualities for this candidate:

3+ years in retail and/or inventory management

3+ years within the boating or automotive industry'
