Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Patent Prosecution Patent Agent in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in patent prosecution, particularly with life sciences clients. This role involves U.S. and foreign patent office practice, opinion work, due diligence, licensing, litigation support, and client counseling.
DutiesDraft and prosecute patent applications.Engage in U.S. and foreign patent office practices.Conduct opinion work and due diligence.Provide litigation support and client counseling.
RequirementsMinimum 2 years of patent prosecution experience.Experience with life sciences clients preferred.Admitted to the USPTO.
EducationAdvanced degree in biology, chemistry, or a biotechnical discipline.
