Performance Test Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Apache JMeter, workload modeling, API/web performance testing, and performance bottleneck analysis.

Tasks

• Execute comprehensive performance tests, analyze system behavior under peak workloads, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with development, DevOps, database, and infrastructure teams to optimize application performance.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter for load, stress, and performance testing
• Developing, parameterizing, correlating, and maintaining performance test scripts
• Workload modeling based on transaction volumes, throughput, concurrency, pacing, and peak-load patterns
• Experience with scalability, concurrency, and long-duration endurance testing
• Performance metrics analysis, including response times, throughput, error rates, CPU, memory, database, and network performance
• Bottleneck identification, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and retesting
• Experience with API testing, web applications, and integrated systems
• Validating results against SLAs, performance targets, and acceptance criteria
• Preferred: AWS CloudWatch, API Gateway, ECS, and Amazon RDS
• Preferred: Microsoft SQL Server and database performance analysis
• Preferred: Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps collaboration
