Personal Care Attendant

Tasks

• Assist with evening & night care.
• Bed repositioning in evening as directed.
• Transferring between bed/wheelchair and wheelchair/commode.
• Personal hygiene (bowel care, showering, dental care, personal grooming).
• Meal preparation and light household duties as needed.

Requirements

• Flexible availability.
• Accommodations for work schedule can be considered a month in advance when enrolled in the nursing program or social worker faculty.
• Previous personal care attendant experience an asset.
• Good communications skills.
• Be physically fit.
• Possess a caring and empathetic attitude.
• Take direction well.
• Able to complete tasks with verbal guidance.
• Be respectful of family members and maintain the home in a tidy manner.
• Confidentiality between the caregiver and the clie
