Pharmacy Assistant

Tasks

• Preparing, packaging and labeling pharmaceutical products, under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Managing patient profiles, submit insurance claims, pharmacy services to the insurer and resolve payment or coverage issues with payers
• Maintaining prescription records and inventory of medication of pharmaceutical products
• Delivery of medication to patients in town and in some cases out of town
• Adhere to the Meadow Lake Co-op and government guidelines on asset protection, alcohol and substance policy and proper disposal of medical waste and expired prescriptions
• Provide exceptional customer service that will promote the sale of co-op merchandise in the pharmacy
• Maintain and control the cash register in the pharmacy
