As a Pharmacy Technician at Objectwin Technology, you will play a critical role in supporting pharmacists with medication preparation, compounding, and dispensing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all safety standards. Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing, repackaging, compounding, filling, and delivering medications accurately for patients of all ages (0-adult). Manage controlled substances by supporting procurement, maintaining precise records, secure storage, and distribution in compliance with regulations. Ensure medication doses are appropriate by accurately entering patient data such as diagnosis, weight, allergies, and body surface area into the pharmacy system. Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during sterile product preparation, maintaining a minimum 90% score on annual recertification exams. Verify medication accuracy in collaboration with pharmacists, contributing to a documented zero dispensing error rate. Demonstrate proficiency in batch, medication, and prescription order entry with attention to detail and efficiency. Coordinate with Pharmacy Support Services to maintain adequate medication and supply stock levels, adhering to established stock replacement and nonformulary procedures. Obtain pharmacist initial and final checks, and correctly assign dilution and expiration labels according to department standards. What We're Looking For Required: Current certification as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) or equivalent credential recognized in Texas. Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably hospital or clinical pharmacy. Strong knowledge of medication preparation, compounding, and aseptic techniques. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Ability to work the 3pm – 11:30pm shift on-site in Houston, TX. Proficient computer skills for accurate patient data entry and inventory management. Preferred: Experience handling controlled substances and familiarity with regulatory compliance. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with pharmacists and support staff.
