Job description
Join a healthcare team in Concord, California, as a contract Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). In this on-site role, you will support patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and other physical impairments. You will work under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, helping patients progress toward their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists with developing and carrying out patient treatment plans.
- Provide direct patient care using exercises and modalities prescribed by the supervising physical therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress, and report changes or challenges to the supervising therapist.
- Teach patients and families exercises and prevention strategies that support recovery.
- Keep the therapy area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, discuss patient outcomes, and suggest ways to improve care.
- Encourage and support patients throughout rehabilitation.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in physical therapy.
- Physical Therapist Assistant certification preferred.
- One to two years of patient care experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals.

Work collaboratively with a licensed physical therapist and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care. This is a contract position based in Concord, CA, and is not remote.
Compensation
