Job description
About the role
Confidential is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Technician for an outpatient therapy clinic.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming and comforting them and helping them into physical therapy apparel or apertures.
- Answer patients’ questions and requests and help allay their fears.
- Assist with treatment by applying heat packs and paraffin dips; helping patients into whirlpools and onto exercise equipment; monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; measuring mobility; and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
- Demonstrate proper equipment use and exercise routines to patients.
- Protect patient information and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
- Sterilize and deliver equipment and supplies, position equipment for therapist access, and position patients on equipment.
- Maintain physical therapy equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and call for repairs.
- Take ownership of requests and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
- Physical Therapy Office experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
- A background check is required upon acceptance.
