We're looking for a Plant Accountant to play a pivotal role in supporting plant leadership and Corporate Finance by delivering accurate plant-level accounting, cost accounting support, and insightful financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly plant close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed cost analysis to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and report plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with variance analysis to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement. Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts encompassing raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and cost variances to uphold inventory accuracy. Ensure precise ERP transaction processing related to inventory movements, labor allocation, production output, and scrap management using systems like SAP or Oracle. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost/volume/profit analysis to drive financial planning aligned with plant objectives. Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle count programs to validate inventory records and support audit readiness. Implement and monitor internal controls, assist with audits, and track capital expenditures to safeguard company assets and compliance. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2 to 5 years of accounting experience specifically within a manufacturing environment. Strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management principles. Hands-on experience with manufacturing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or Infor/CSI. Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting roles. 5+ years of experience preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and managing monthly plant close processes. Proven ability to work cross-functionally within a manufacturing setting, collaborating effectively with operations and finance teams. Experience supporting audits and capital expenditure tracking.
