Plastic Products Manufacturing Labourer
Employer: EPL Plastics
Location: 55 Plant Farm Blvd, Brantford, ON N3S 7W2
Work arrangement: On site; remote work is not available.
Employment: Permanent, full time. Six vacancies. Start as soon as possible.
Hours: 35 to 44 hours per week. Early morning, evening, night, weekend, shift, and on-call work may be required. Overtime is available.
Pay: $20.00 to 27.00 hourly, to be negotiated.

About the role
EPL Plastics is hiring a Plastic Products Manufacturing Labourer for its Brantford, Ontario plastics processing operation. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will support machine operators and assemblers, prepare and mix materials, monitor production equipment, and assist with equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist machine operators and assemblers with manufacturing tasks.
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment; assist with operation, repair, and maintenance.
- Move materials and tools between work areas and prepare raw materials for mixing.
- Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulas, and load materials into mixing machines.
- Operate mixing equipment to blend plastic and chemicals to specified consistency and viscosity.
- Follow formulation cards to prepare resin batches for injection molding.
- Unload mixtures into containers or conveyors for further processing.
- Monitor machines for jams and defective products; inspect production output.
- Adjust calender rollers for production line changes and change dies on extrusion machines as required.
- Operate a forklift.
Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Two years to less than three years of relevant experience.
- English language proficiency.
- Willingness to work in a noisy, dusty, dirty environment with odors.
- Willingness to relocate for the role.
Work setting
On-site work at a plastic products manufacturing company in the plastics processing industry. This position cannot be performed remotely.
