Platform Architect

Position : Confluent Platform ArchitectLocation : Remote-Mexico or Costa Rica

Role SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Confluent Platform Architect with strong expertise in designing, implementing, and operating event-driven and real-time streaming architectures across cloud and self-hosted environments. The role requires deep hands-on knowledge of the Confluent ecosystem, scalability, security, and enterprise-grade operations.________________________________________Key Skills & Experience1. Confluent & Kafka Ecosystem• Strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and its ecosystem, including:o Kafka Connecto ksqlDBo Apache Flinko Schema Registryo Confluent Tableflow• Experience working with Confluent Cloud services.2. Self-Hosted Confluent Platform Architecture• Experience designing and managing self-hosted Confluent Platform architectures.• Hands-on exposure to:o Kubernetes-based deploymentso Manifest YAMLs and GitOps tools (ArgoCD)o Platform security (LDAP, mTLS . SASL)o High Availability (HA), scalability, and fault-tolerant setups.3. CI/CD & Automation• Experience with Terraform and GitHub pipelines for CI/CD automation.• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment strategies.4. Programming & Custom Development• Good working knowledge of Python and Java.• Experience building and maintaining custom Kafka connectors or extensions is a strong plus.5. Solution Design & Architecture• Proven experience in solution design for event-driven and real-time streaming use cases.• Ability to design systems that are:o Highly availableo Scalableo Fault-toleranto High-throughput6. Observability & Monitoring• Experience with observability and monitoring stacks, including:o Splunk and Grafana dashboardso Azure Monitoro Log Analyticso OTEL (Open Telemetry )o Prometheus• Ability to define operational metrics, alerts, and monitoring strategies.7.
