Platform Engineer (Snowflake Platform)

Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise Snowflake platform capabilities, automation frameworks, governance solutions, and AI-driven services. This role focuses on building scalable platform solutions, improving operational efficiency, strengthening security controls, and enabling enterprise-wide adoption of Snowflake capabilities across multiple accounts.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop platform automation solutions using Snowflake, Python, SQL, Streamlit, and GitHub.Build and enhance enterprise capabilities for:Access Management FrameworksData Classification & TaggingDynamic Data MaskingGovernance ApplicationsAI Agents and Snowflake Cortex SolutionsDevelop POCs, accelerators, and reusable platform services for Data Engineering and Analytics teams.Implement secure data-sharing solutions, multi-account Snowflake architectures, and automated deployment frameworks.Create CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and automated release processes.Evaluate emerging Snowflake capabilities and recommend adoption strategies to improve platform efficiency and reduce operational costs.Develop monitoring, troubleshooting, and RCA automation solutions for enterprise data products.Partner with Architecture, Governance, Data Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver enterprise platform improvements.Follow SDLC, audit, change management, and segregation-of-duty requirements across all platform initiatives.Required Qualifications7+ years of experience in Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Snowflake Engineering.Strong expertise in:Snowflake AdministrationRBAC, Roles, Grants, Warehouses, Resource MonitorsAuthentication Policies, Network Policies, Service AccountsSnowflake Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Stored Procedures and Secure SharesPython Development and AutomationSQL Performance Tuning and Query OptimizationGitHub, CI/CD, and DevOps PracticesStreamlit and Snowflake CortexDatadog or Enterprise Monitoring ToolsExperience with dbt, Matillion, Fivetran, Striim, and Control-M.Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support experience.Preferred QualificationsSnowPro Core Certification (Required).SnowPro Advanced Administrator or Architect Certification (Preferred).Experience with AI/ML enablement, Snowflake Cortex, AI Agents, and governance automation.Experience in highly regulated SOX/SOC audit environments.Key CompetenciesStrong developer mindset with a passion for automation and innovation.Ability to build proofs of concept and transform ideas into production-ready platform solutions.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration.Continuous improvement and platform modernization mindset."
