Job description
Join The Security Strategy Research Institute of Japan as a Political & Foreign Affairs Consultant based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. In this full-time role, you will influence international relations and political strategies by providing expert analysis and insights to civil and governmental clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth political analysis and research to deliver actionable recommendations. Monitor geopolitical developments and assess their impact on foreign policy. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior stakeholders. Engage with government officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders to gather critical insights. Collaborate with team members to create detailed consultancy proposals. Lead workshops and seminars to present findings internally and externally. Assess the effectiveness of strategies and recommend improvements. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, or related discipline. Strong analytical skills with expertise in interpreting complex political data. Proven experience in political analysis and research methodologies. Proficiency with relevant software and research tools. Minimum 5 years of experience in political consulting or a related field. This position requires close collaboration with a diverse team of analysts and researchers to ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals.
