Job description
Pacific Coast Cartage Inc. is hiring experienced port drivers and owner-operators for local container hauling in Compton, California. Day-shift drivers can earn $30 per hour or choose pay by load. This is W-2 employment for company drivers. Owner-operators are welcome.
Job responsibilities
- Transport freight from the port terminal to local destinations, including Eastvale, City of Industry, Ontario, Chino, Sylmar, and Mira Loma.
- Follow safe driving practices and comply with applicable port and transportation requirements.
Requirements
- Valid TWIC card required.
- At least two years of relevant driving experience.
Equipment and work environment
The Compton facility includes a concrete-gated yard of more than 1.5 acres, 150 company-owned chassis, and a yard truck to help save time and effort. A major project is expected to bring increased activity starting in June.
