We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Developer / Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in database development, migration, performance optimization, and cloud engineering to support enterprise-level platform modernization initiatives.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, schemas, tables, views, indexes, functions, triggers, and stored procedures.
Plan and execute database migrations from Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and other RDBMS platforms to PostgreSQL.
Perform database assessment, schema conversion, data transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
Optimize SQL queries, execution plans, indexing strategies, and database performance.
Support database backup, recovery, replication, and high availability.
Build and maintain cloud-based workloads across AWS and Azure.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
Support cloud security, networking, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production incident resolution.
Collaborate with application, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams.
🔹 Required Skills
✅ 10+ years of professional experience in PostgreSQL development or database engineering
✅ Strong SQL, database design, and relational data modeling skills
✅ Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL development and administration
✅ Proven experience in database migration projects
✅ Expertise in query optimization and performance tuning
✅ Experience with ETL, data validation, and data transformation
✅ Knowledge of transactions, locking, replication, backup, and recovery
✅ Cloud engineering experience with AWS and/or Azure
✅ Experience with IaC, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
✅ Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Experience with large-scale enterprise database migrations.
