Job description
About the role
Design, develop, and validate the front-end components of the CLIENT application as part of a migration project.
Tasks
- Develop an application framework on top of PFC.
- Analyze existing PowerBuilder objects and incorporate them into the CLIENT application being migrated.
- Develop PowerBuilder objects that connect to SQL Server.
- Apply OOP principles to application development.
- Prepare technical documentation covering application design, PowerBuilder objects, and functional implementation.
- Conduct peer code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Perform unit testing before handing over components to the QA team.
- Collaborate with Technical Business Analysts, application developers, DBAs, data migration resources, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experienced PowerBuilder Developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with PowerBuilder objects, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), PFC, and SQL Server.
