Job description
About the role
The Prevention Services Coordinator will provide a holistic approach to the wellness of the child, the family, and the Nation that is based on the Epistemology of First Nation law, beliefs and practices, the guidance and involvement of Elders and the support of family and Nations members.
To increase supports for families and children and to try and prevent further involvement with the child protection system.
Emphasis is on Community Based Prevention and early intervention as defined by the Community Based Prevention committee.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with demonstrated community work experience OR Certificate/Diploma in related discipline and demonstrated community work experience.
- OR Bachelor of Social Work or Four (4) year University undergraduate degree in a related discipline and demonstrated community work experience.
- A criminal/vulnerable sector check, driver's abstract, and proof of education will be required prior to signing a letter of offer.
