Principal Java Developer

About the role

Join DTCC's IT Application Development team and work on mission-critical Clearing & Settlement business applications.

Tasks

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance Java applications.
• Lead technical architecture and design discussions.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide Level 3 support.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product Management teams.
• Support application modernization and entitlement management initiatives.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java SE/EE.
• Spring Framework: Spring Boot, MVC, Spring Security.
• Hibernate / JPA.
• REST APIs and Microservices Architecture.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• SQL: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• NoSQL: MongoDB, Cassandra.
• Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle.
• Strong Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns.
• AWS / Azure / GCP (nice to have).
• Angular / React / Vue.js (nice to have).
• Financial Services or Banking domain experience (nice to have).
• Java / Cloud / Architecture certifications (nice to have).
• Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Enterprise application development experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production applications.

Schedule

• Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite per Week
• 12 Months Contract to Hire (CTH)
