Job description
Yablon is seeking a Procurement Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a global investment bank in Midtown Manhattan. This hybrid role requires three days onsite and two days working from home.
Position Details
- Location: Midtown, New York City, NY
- Schedule: Hybrid, three days onsite and two days remote
- Pay: $50-$55 per hour
- Duration: Initial contract of six or more months, with strong potential for extension or full-time conversion
About the Role
Work closely with the Procurement Manager and a business process outsourcing (BPO) service provider supporting Technology, Facilities, Consulting, and Training categories. Candidates must have contract negotiation experience and bring strong relationship management, communication, and procurement skills. Financial services experience is preferred; professionals with procurement experience in other industries are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand product and service requirements.
- Manage client and customer relationships, support satisfaction, meet deadlines, and promote procurement best practices.
- Communicate forecasts, business needs, and procurement opportunities across teams.
- Lead procurement activities, including supplier prequalification, contract negotiation and preparation, and tender management.
- Manage sourcing engagements, including RFx processes, strategic sourcing, category management, and tactical purchases.
- Develop and stabilize vendor relationships to improve business efficiency.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience negotiating supplier contracts.
- Strong written, verbal, technical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional relationship management skills and sound procurement judgment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial services procurement experience is a plus.
