About the Role
As Procurement Specialist, you will keep the right materials in the right places at the right time and cost, while preventing avoidable supply emergencies. You will manage weekly ordering and inventory for cold-chain supplies and food packaging, support warehouse and third-party logistics (3PL) relationships, and regularly benchmark vendors and market pricing to improve cost and specifications.
This is a hands-on, spreadsheet-heavy position. Methodology does not use an ERP, so you will maintain and improve Google Sheets, inventory trackers, and playbooks that are accurate, organized, and easy for backup team members to use.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain par levels and weeks of cover for packaging SKUs across headquarters and 3PL locations, including liners, ice packs, corrugate, jars, lids, labels, and inserts.
- Place weekly and monthly purchase orders on a consistent cadence, keeping lead times and delivery dates visible to operations and warehouse partners.
- Track inbound shipments and reconcile received quantities against purchase orders and vendor packing lists.
- Manage inventory and procurement workflows for perishable food, cold-chain materials, and consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Support vendor, warehouse, and 3PL relationships; monitor supply risks and help resolve delivery or inventory issues.
- Re-benchmark vendors, pricing, and specifications to identify opportunities for better value and reliability.
- Maintain clean, accurate procurement spreadsheets, trackers, and playbooks for reliable team coverage.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
