Job Summary:Plan and develop plant production schedules (on assigned product lines) to meet customer demand, maintaining a minimum effective inventory, in order to ensure that production deadlines, material and resource requirements are met and ensures products manufactured are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications.
Main Responsibilities:
Drive daily production efficiencies by releasing/sequencing the manufacturing orders related to specific product lines and/or assigned project work based on material / capacity availability.Work along with the MPS to prepare a weekly production schedule based on customers Needs and available resources and review weekly finished goods inventories, identify trends and take action accordingly.Work with the Master Scheduler and Manufacturing Engineers to thoroughly understand and advise on managing short term/long term capacities to minimize the cause for past due orders.Updates plant SAP material records as required (lot size, safety stocks, reorder points, lead times, etc.) - for Semi-Finish Goods to ensure shipment and on-time performance to support production requirements.Create and maintain production and planning metrics and cultivate systems that ensure production schedules are aligned to internal and external customer needs to aid effective decision making in the organization.Manage the ECO/ECR changes implemenation with the correspondent multifunctional team and ensure Change project's are properly documented through the analysis and follow up the inventory and cost impact.Reviews orders, shipping requirements, plant capacity and inventories to develop schedules that establish the sequence and timing of manufacturing operations to meet production requirements.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Operations.2 years in similar work and knowledge of MRP and ERP systems. Additional course or diploma in manufacturing process or production planning (Preferred) and a good domain of excel.Ability to make appropriate and effective use of oral and written English to communicate.Advanced SAP knowledge. APICS Certification, or pursuing APICS Certification.
