Profesor Lengua Y Literatura Con Experiencia en IB

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at International Christian School Heredia in Heredia. The Soanish Language and Literature Professor, with IB experience will plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for high school students, aligned with IB standards and school curriculum guidelines. The role involves designing unit plans, developing assessments, providing regular feedback to students, and maintaining accurate records of learning and progress. The educator will collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning, participate in school meetings and professional development, and communicate effectively with families regarding student performance and needs. Additional responsibilities include contributing to a positive classroom environment, supporting the school’s values, and ensuring that instructional practices meet diverse learning needs.Qualifications Experience teaching High School students and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.Proficiency in Language and Literature instruction, with IB program experience.Curriculum Development skills, including designing units, assessments, and learning activities aligned with standards.Strong Teaching and Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and foster student engagement.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Spanish Language and Literature, or a related field; IB training or certification is an advantage.Ability to work collaboratively and support the school’s mission and values.Commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning, ongoing professional growth, and use of educational technology in the classroom.
