Job description
About the role
The Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology is searching for a visionary, collaborative leader to guide our Department of Engineering Technology.
The department offers degrees in Electrical Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology, with strengths in both teaching and research.
Tasks
- Faculty recruitment, mentoring, and development
- Growing high-impact, externally funded research
- Deepening partnerships with industry, alumni, and funding agencies
- Student success, curriculum, and accreditation
Requirements
- A terminal degree in EE, ME, or a related field
- A record worthy of tenure at full professor
- Proven administrative leadership
- Grant support as PI or Co-PI, industry experience or PE licensure, and an Engineering Technology background are all a plus.
Schedule
- 12-month appointment
- Preferred start date is July 1, 2027
