Job description:Job Title: Public Accountant Duration: Fulltime permanentLocation: Waldwick, NJ 07463 (Onsite)
Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a candidate actively pursuing CPA licensure to join a growing public accounting firm in Waldwick, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of recent public accounting experience with expertise in financial reporting, auditing, tax preparation, and client relationship management. .
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review financial statements, compilations, reviews, and audits in accordance with GAAP and GAAS.Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.Perform tax planning, tax research, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.Manage engagement workflows using CCH Engagement, including trial balances, workpapers, and financial statement preparation.Utilize CCH Knowledge Coach for audit planning, risk assessments, and workpaper documentation.Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and provide accounting guidance.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification.Minimum 3+ years of recent public accounting experience.Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and federal/state tax regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.Candidates who have passed one or more sections of the CPA exam.Hands-on experience with CCH Engagement, CCH Axcess and CCH Knowledge Coach.Experience mentoring or supervising accounting staff.
