QA Tester – Java Application

Tasks

• Test a Java-based warehouse management application.
• Work with developers, business analysts, and warehouse operations users to make sure the application works correctly across inventory, order, and fulfilment workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software QA or testing experience, mostly manual testing
• Experience testing Java-based web applications
• Solid knowledge of testing methods: functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT
• Experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI, or similar)
• Working SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
• Experience writing test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
• Preferred: Test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java, TestNG, or JUnit
• Preferred: Experience with REST Assured, Cucumber/BDD, or Playwright
• Preferred: Testing with RF/handheld scanners, barcode scanning, or mobile devices
• Preferred: Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Git
• Preferred: ISTQB or similar QA certification
