QC Lab Automation Specialist – qPCR & Hamilton STAR

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on QC Lab Automation Specialist to support qPCR testing and automated liquid handling in a GMP-regulated laboratory.

Tasks

• Perform routine QC testing using qPCR instruments.
• Operate Hamilton STAR systems for sample preparation, pipetting, dilution, and plate setup.
• Set up and modify Hamilton VENUS methods, deck layouts, and liquid-handling workflows.
• Troubleshoot basic instrument and automation issues.
• Support workflow optimization, equipment maintenance, and laboratory readiness.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with GMP, GDP, and data integrity requirements.
• Collaborate with QC, laboratory automation, and Quality teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field preferred.
• Hands-on experience with qPCR instruments and automated liquid-handling systems.
• Experience with Hamilton STAR and Hamilton VENUS method setup or modification.
• Knowledge of sample preparation, laboratory testing, and basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of GMP, GDP, and data integrity requirements.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated QC laboratories preferred.

• Duration: 12–24 Months
