Ranch Hand

Tasks

• Feed and water livestock and monitor food during winter months when cattle is not able to graze.
• Monitor water supplies and break ice dams as needed.
• Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain for calves to ensure proper nutrition.
• Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals.
• Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences & other related Ranch Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Visa required: H-2A

Schedule

• From Dec 1, 2026 to Mar 1, 2027
• Possible weekend/holiday work.

Pay

• $14.29 per hour
• The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
