Job description
Tasks
- Employee will be working with a winter stocker operation that purchases light weight calves, runs them on winter wheat, and then backgrounds them.
- Analyzing cattle health and providing appropriate treatment, daily feeding, maintaining fresh water supplies, and providing appropriate animal weather protection.
- Cattle vaccination, cattle weight monitoring, cattle identification protocols, maintaining fences and utilizing and maintaining appropriate equipment for the above-mentioned operations.
- Once those calves arrive, they must be processed, fed and care for during the winter period.
