Job description
Join a remote team as a Reimbursement Specialist supporting an annual patient insurance reverification project. This full-time role focuses on verifying insurance benefits accurately and on time. The hourly pay is $18 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and review patient insurance benefit information from payers according to program standard operating procedures.
- Contact assigned payers regularly to support accurate, timely benefit investigations.
- Provide responsive support to internal team members, resolving requests or escalating issues as needed.
- Identify and report reimbursement trends and delays to a supervisor.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and meet daily and weekly benefit verification completion targets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a specialty pharmacy, medical insurance, physician’s office, or related healthcare setting.
- Outbound call center experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work remotely while meeting daily and weekly performance targets.
- Local candidates must be willing to pick up and return equipment onsite during the initial project days.
- A video interview is required for final selection.
