Remote Cybersecurity Analyst - Los Angeles, CA

Emerson Connect is seeking a skilled Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join our cybersecurity team based in Los Angeles, California. This fully remote role offers flexibility to work from anywhere while playing a critical part in protecting our clients' digital assets and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and incidents by analyzing logs and reports to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches and develop incident response plans.
• Implement and maintain security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
• Collaborate with IT teams to secure network infrastructures and strengthen cybersecurity posture.
• Perform risk assessments and security audits to enhance security practices.
• Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs for staff.
• Document findings and develop policies and procedures related to information security.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Knowledge of network security protocols and ethical hacking principles.
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar.
• 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles.
