Remote Driver

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Remote Driver to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Newark, New Jersey, this position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes safety and efficiency. The Remote Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations, impacting our operations directly and contributing to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues before every trip. Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues during transportation. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and pick-ups. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Assist in loading and unloading goods as necessary. Report any accidents or incidents to management immediately. In this role, you will engage with the logistics team to ensure seamless operations and assist in special projects related to route optimization and fleet management. Your success will be measured by the efficiency of deliveries, adherence to timelines, and feedback from customers and the logistics team. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a delivery or logistics role. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and make timely decisions. Strong communication skills.
