Road Mechanic

Tasks

• Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, trailers, and specialized equipment used in powerline construction and maintenance.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and heavy truck electrical systems.
• Perform mechanical repairs both in the shop and at field locations.
• Maintain heavy trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, and trailers.
• Travel to job sites to provide field service and keep equipment operational.

Requirements

• 2+ years of diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and truck electrical systems.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing equipment independently.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel to job sites as needed.
• Preferred: Experience with bucket trucks, digger derricks, boom trucks, or utility equipment.
• Preferred: Background in powerline construction or utility services.
• Preferred: CDL license.
• Preferred: ASE certifications in Diesel, Hydraulics, or Electrical.
• Preferred: Familiarity with DOT inspections.
