Ruby Full-Stack Developer

In this role, you will join an established, high-performing engineering environment at Forte, collaborating across international teams to deliver scalable software architectures and seamless user experiences. You will be a core member of a multidisciplinary team focused on developing enterprise-level sports, event, and administrative platforms, leveraging modern cloud architectures and AI-enabled tools to power high-volume SaaS solutions.
As a Senior Ruby Software Engineer, you will contribute to its success by taking full ownership of complex engineering tasks with minimal oversight, guiding application architecture, leading technical design discussions, and actively mentoring peers to foster team skill growth.
Key CompetenciesDesign, develop, and maintain highly interactive, secure, and scalable SaaS applications using modern design patterns, clean API design, and automated unit testing.Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners—including Product, UX, Quality, and Operations teams—to plan, estimate, and continuously deliver features with minimal technical debt.Drive continuous integration and architectural evolution by consistently releasing modular code to mainline branches and assisting in modernizing system design.
Mandatory Technical Skills5+ years of professional software development experience specializing in Ruby and building scalable backend or full-stack systems.1+ years of hands-on experience with database technologies, specifically MySQL or DynamoDB (NoSQL).1+ years of experience working with serverless architectures (specifically within AWS offerings) and cloud environments.
Nice to Have SkillsHands-on experience with frontend frameworks like Angular and TypeScript.Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.Expertise in high-volume payment processing, payment facilitation APIs (e.g., Stripe, Worldpay), or message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ).
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical training and professional experience.Proven experience building secure, event-driven microservices, breaking down monoliths, and applying object-oriented software design patterns.Strong collaborative mindset with clear communication skills, self-sufficiency, and a commitment to sustainable software development best practices.
