Ruby on Rails Software Engineer

Tasks

• Design, develop, test, and deploy large-scale full-stack web applications.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency, and scalability issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and database, networking, and systems teams.
• Maintain architectural documentation, API specifications, and codebase documentation.
• Build reliable, scalable applications while ensuring data consistency and performance.
• Follow software engineering best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, including 6+ years in a Senior Software Engineer role.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining scalable APIs using REST, RPC, JSON, Protocol Buffers (ProtoBuf), and XML.
• 6+ years of frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI (GenAI) tools in software development workflows.
• Expert-level knowledge of Go, Java, Rust, C++, Erlang, or similar compiled/high-concurrency programming languages.
• Working knowledge of RSpec, MiniTest, CI/CD pipelines, CircleCI, Jenkins, and AWS.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
